:) I reject also any kind of non-free software (now. If you asked me a couple of years ago I would have stared at you like a dead fish if you mentioned free software..), so no proprietary games. I know the engine source code for Q3A is free (http://ioquake3.org/) but you still need the .wad (was it .wad?) which is not free software. it's been a long time since I played it on Xubuntu with the "open source" ati driver..and the non-free firmware.. My favorite game was Half-life. When it came out in 1998 I remember I finished it two times in arow in like three days.. paused only for school, lunch and dinner.. I think I finished that one 20 times!! Then HL2 came out and it has been ever since my favorite game - best thing ever made in my humble opinion! Quake 3 was and is my favorite arena shooter. Open arena is great too. Not the same though. Haven't tried chaosesque. Haven't played for very long (other then some very occasional zsnes)
