The KickStarter and IndieGoGo projects that fail are the ones that don't have enough perks. People are greedy as hell, if statistics mean anything. People donate when there are perks they're interested in. Selling hard copies is probably one of the best ideas. Yea, it may be annoying and such, but that's a perk that makes enormous sense to add.
