With that logic, why not installing all window managers by default? The  
problem is it would not only eat up space on the installation ISO, but it  
would also mean more utilities (to choose the window manager and configure  
each of the the options), hence more confusion. ;-)

I use Mutter. GNOME 3's default, i.e., the window manager GNOME Shell uses.  
The evolution of Metacity. I specified keyboard shortcuts (in the related tab  
of the "Keyboard" utility in the "System settings") to jump to any of the ten  
first workspaces.
