Mostly just that you're adding another higher-level programming language on top of the "console" software only for the purpose of giving it more limited functionality. It doesn't do anything useful. It's better to just have a high-level library that takes care of some things for you (without trying to create an unnecessary analogy or include artificial bounds to what games can do). That's what the SGE Game Engine does. Also Love2d, Cocos2D, Godot Engine, and GDevelop.
