No the fan doesn't work at all anymore. I use my laptop 24/7 and I hope I  
haven't damaged anything since it has gotten broken. I think I will revert to  
using my old laptop which I will have to use ubuntu sadly because the  
graphics card doesn't work in trisquel for 3d. Supposedly it has free  
software drivers for it made specifically by ubuntu for that graphics card  
not sure why it isn't included in trisquel maybe it has become proprietary.  
Well anyways thats for another post I will post soon as I get my old laptop  
back from my mom. Right now I need to fix my fan and I don't know what the  
problem is.

I followed this video tutorial on how to disassemble my laptop and replace  
the heatsink fan.
