I don't think you can fix that. The client relies on very specific packages  
version and there are a lot of dependencies. I don't think the dependency  
hell can be easily solved (if at all). Trust me, I do speak from experience  
here.
Install the standalone bundle. Don't forget to verify the tar with gpg.
