On to Plan B. I burned the Trisquel 7 iso to a DVD-RW disk, and I can boot
that disk into a Live Trisquel setup. I can mount the internal hard drive and
I can also mount the USB-connected external hard drive, but the Live DVD
won't let me see any files on either of those drives. Oddly, I can see all
the files in the Windows partition of the internal hard drive.
If the Live DVD will let me run GParted and peek into the Windows portion of
the internal hard drive, why not also peek into either one of the other hard
drives ?
The Live DVD's Properties tab indicates that there are 2GB of free space,
which would be adequate for the website mirror that I'd like to put onto the
Live DVD, if only I could copy & paste it.
BTW, this post is coming via the Live DVD.
