In this list, I would also mention Quake 1/2 mods such as Team Fortress (Q1),  
Rocket Arena (Q1), Action Quake 2 (Q2), OSP (Q2)… which use proprietary  
(binary-only) game logic in the form of .dat/.dll/.so files.
