I'll read the instructions in this thread again in the reply about updating
and if I understand the instructions I'll try it, when I read it earlier I
didn't quite understand it all.
It is indeed essential if you expect us to help you.
Again, there was no need to uninstall anything. Are "trisquel",
"trisquel-recommended", "gnome-shell" and "gnome-session" installed? Within
the "Synaptic Package Manager" in the "System Settings", you can check
whether those four packages are install and install them again if they are
not.
