Somehow my most recent post offers no "edit" link. So i use the "reply" link:
mkisofs option -r alters ownership and access permissions of the file copies in the ISO. Although this is beneficial for publishing or data transport, it is not really what a
good backup needs. So i advise to omit option -r.mkisofs and genisoimage produce Rock Ridge only if option -R is given. xorriso -as mkisofs
produces it by default but also accepts an explicit option -R.
