I want to rebuild it, but a script can't be downloaded!
Yes, it can:
https://devel.trisquel.info/trisquel/makeiso/raw/master/makeiso.sh
Nobody ran this script for 2 years, and nobody noticed that it silently
disappeared from a server.
Because it did not.
The ancient secret of rebuilding Trisquel is lost, and we will have to wait
for eternity until someone rediscovers it :P
If you had spent one minute (is one minute "eternity"?) searching for it on
Trisquel's git repository, you would have found it.
> Security updates are still coming. Trisquel 7 is based on Ubuntu 14.04,
which will receive updates until April 2019
Means we need to wait 3 more years for Trisquel 7 SP1
No, it does not. It means what it says.
If I need to install Trisquel to several computers, that means I will have to
download the same stuff several times with NetInstall - what a waste of time
and bandwidth.
After installing Trisquel on a computer, copy /var/cache/apt/archives/ to the
other computers (with NetInstalls and maybe SSH clients if you want to grab
/var/cache/apt/archives/ this way). You will not have to download them again.
If you want the same packages installed, you can use 'dselect' to not specify
them one by one.
It probably takes a minimal effort to rebuild a DVD
Do it then.
(can't know for sure because a script is not publicly available)
It is.
but apparently he doesn't truly care about Trisquel to lift a finger
Quidam created Trisquel some ten years ago. He has maintained Trisquel since
then.
The only finger *you* have lifted for Trisquel is the middle one. And you
apparently considers yourself smart doing so...
