The reality of this project is that people are always waiting and there is no
clear communication or roadmap. They are always waiting because some use this
OS as the backbone of their everyday use at home and/or at work. It is very
important to them.
Some want the latest and greatest and some are just content with old software
that is years old. Its nice that the older version of Trisquel is still
supported due to the LTS model, but its nice to have something newer. Having
Trisquel 8 based off of Ubuntu 16.04 means that the OS is 6 months old
software wise, but it is a good start. The packages in it are still very
relevant and can be updated with PPAs.
I do admit that this forum provides relevant conversation of free software
besides Trisquel and that is great. There just needs to be some progress in
getting Trisquel 8 out.
