I won't debate here. I just don't like systemd because I don't like systemd.
I was sorely mistaken when I thought that Devuan would be beyond my technical ability, so come on in, the water's fine if that's how you roll.
The Devuan community does have interest in developing a fully free OS based on Devuan and seeking fsf approval, but it's not there yet.
Back on topic, I've been goofing around with Bodhi for a few hours since that's what was on my new-to-me Thinkpad T43. I don't see that it's any harder to "free" Debian derivatives than it is to made Debian itself free, but I would only do so for my own amusement.
The less technical knowledge a person has, the more of a stickler I am for ethics when setting up their computer. Belenos has worked fine for the circle I run in so far, with a few PPAs.
I believe that the target user of Trisquel is someone like them, or someone like me when I first found out about this project. I've had the freedom to learn a lot thanks to the security of knowing that Ruben and others have provided me with a 100% free as in freedom operating system.
Now I want to share this good thing I found with people I care about.
