Open a terminal with :

dmesg -w
Then insert your dvd, you should be able to read the right path. (Maybe  
/dev/sr0 ?)

Run the command again with the proper path to your dvd drive (example with  
sr0)

dvdbackup -i /dev/sr0 --mirror
