>What do you use to browse the web? (I use Icecat.)
I'm actually very frustrated lately with browsers. I like links2 and dillo for reading text. I used to run seamonkey but the latest versions of it (both the stable one and the nighty nightly builds don't work good for me anymore and it bugs my mind - the issue I experience is the arrow buttons are greyed out and don't work, so I'm not able to go back to the previous page and that makes it a no go for me :'(
I also ran Firecocks Bloatzilla for the last couple of months on the faster one of my old laptops and it was slow but acceptable. Lately, as of the 52.3 version of firefox-esr it's unbearably slow. some time ago I decided to purge it completely and use only the TorBB, which for some reason ran faster, smoother (especially the start time - 25 seconds Bloatzilla, 12 seconds TorBB to hit the home page). A couple of days ago TorBB updated to 7.0.5 and since then it is as slow as Firecocks.
So, good question.. I am in the process of trying to fix Firefox to make it run decently. Have you experienced a huge slowdown when ublock origin, the latest version of it, is installed? It's a nightmare.. :/
