I will have to agree with that. I also try to find lightweight software such  
as lxde and vlc, etc... but when it came to browsing the best thing I found  
was icecat (firefox) so I just had to suck it up and use it. It always  
bothers me when I open up system monitor and it says it is using 500  
megabytes of ram with 1 tab open and javascript off. (FYI I have 2 gigabytes  
of ram so that is a lot.)
