I wish I didn't have to say this but yea, what Supertramp said. The only purpose of a corporation is to make money for its stockholders.
If you want to blow off steam by spending four years of your life tightening your belt so you can take a day off of work every week to write hand written thank you notes to the people who donate to a nonprofit, I can probably hook you up with a suitable tax deductible organization and it probably won't cause as much liver damage as long term use of psychiatric medication or chronic alcoholism. But if you want to make a small, concrete, positive difference in your own life and the lives of other people you come in contact with on a daily basis by running a 100% free FSF endorsed Gnu/Linux distro on your home (and perhaps eventually even small business if you have one that is small enough) without having to deal with trash like my illustrious self on your peer support forum, you're better off listening to what these people have to say and treating them with the respect they deserve.
