The "beginner's guide"[1] to installing Hyperbola assumes you are wiping your disk and only installing Hyperbola. The regular installation guide[2] assumes that you know how to partition disks yourself. So yes, it will be much more challenging thatn Trisquel, but if you're up to the challenge back up your files and dive in.
