Very little research has been done in this area, because those who can most
afford to fund it, benefit from it not being done, and thus being able to
imply (if not outright claim) that absence of evidence equals evidence of
absence. That said, in 2015, a letter of concern known as the "International
EMF Scientist Appeal was signed by 190 scientists who had all "published
peer-reviewed papers on the biological or health effects of non-ionizing
radiation, part of the EMF spectrum that includes Extremely Low Frequency
fields (ELF) used for electricity, or Radio Frequency radiation (RFR) used
for wireless communications."
