Maybe there are reasons I'm unaware of for which a non-musician might want a lowlatency kernel, but any musician who really needs one also needs to use JACK instead of pulseaudio. If they are capable of installing and configuring JACK themselves, they are also capable of installing a different kernel from the default. Of course, most "Linux musicians" (they haven't heard of GNU) are not using Trisquel, but are using one of the distros that come preconfigured for audio production and unfortunately include proprietary software.
