  You are correct.  Dennis does not put any examples in his book and it is
very hard to understand what TROM is all about from the first read through.
  I have read the book 15 times so far to get a decent understanding of the
subject.  You need to work on rereading it till you get a better
understanding for yourself.  I realize it is hard.
  I added the footnotes to the copy of TROM I put on  the tromhelp.com
website to save time for novices.  Try downloading and reading this version.

But that is just my point. I think for level two, I really won't notice 
any charge on the past scene or the object in the PT. But an objective 
meter will notice.

I think the word change is a bit vague. Some examples of common change 
when running the level-2 commands would be useful I think.

The Ability Meter does look like a top class instrument. And it demands 
top-class cost.
