Although I am no expert on the GMP tech of Hubbard I do (at least I think that
I do) see what Dennis meant. His explanation is that Hubbard assumed that
everything of a GPM was located in the reactive bank and knowing TROM we can
see the futility of that approach. The postulates and the postulate failures as
Dennis has described in the Postulate Failure Cycle chart are all an analytical
construct and you could say that the effects, web of reasons and reasons for
not making postulates are in the reactive bank. Now removing those 'effects'
from the reactive bank will not solve or do anything about the Postulate
Failure Cycle construct. It is best described in the 'Long night of the soul'
found in the TROM manual, here a quote:
Everything you discover in the mind - indeed, its total content - is an effect.
There are no causes in there, so you wont find any. Thus, to postulate that one
part of the mind is the cause of some other part is a lie, and in pursuit of
this lie you will never discover the truth.
Hope this gives you some hint into brewing up your own realization.

I had looked up the Scn definition of "postulate" & nowhere does it say that it
is generated by the reactive bank.
I read the Scn definition of "gpm" & can see that it says "...Where the pc's
goal meets constant opposition, you have in the reactive mind the resultant
mass caused by the two forces ..."
So the postulate is generated by the analytical mind but if opposed a mass is
created which is in the reactive bank.
Sooooo ... this seems to make sense to me but no doubt I am missing a HEAP of
greater detail as to just how Hubbard proposed to remedy the "gpm" & "failed"
as Dennis points out.
Am I asking too much for a brief explanation of this?
