Prujoy Let me put my two cents in here.
We each are spiritual beings and take action by postulating. You are right that postulates are created by the spiritual being not the reactive mind. Postulates start with the spiritual being but they end up in other places. Every object in the physical universe is a postulate counterpostulate and accompanying mass. The content of my reactive mind is my postulate opposed by another's postulate with accompanying emotion and mass. We have a mind, which is a collection of spiritual universe stuff that we have accumulated. We can divide the content of the mind into two categories, analytical and reactive, but really they are all content of the mind. The analytical stuff is the mental tools we use to calculate what amount of effort will be required to get what effect in either the physical or spiritual universes around. To be specific if I want to stop my car I use an analytical process that combines pressure on the brake pedal with observations of the decrease in speed of the car and nicely brings the car to a stop just short of the cross walk. I postulated this calculator when I learned how to drive. In the spiritual world I note that compliments work well at getting friendly responses from pretty girls so developed skill at thinking up compliments. The reactive content of the mind is where postulates were made and were defeated with much emotional charge. The postulate that I made to stop the bully at the beach from kicking sand is contained now in the incident where I failed to stop him along with the pain of being punched and frustration due to the failure. The logical constructs like stopping the car which, due to the laws of this universe, will try to keep going or that stopping bullies who will try to keep bullying are the content of the analytical mind and will remain after timebreaking the charge and postulate and opposing postulate in the bully incident. After time breaking I will no longer have a (reactive) misemotional incident with a bully on the beach but I will know that I tried to stop the bully and lost, I will still know that(analytical) forcing something on another that they do not want is not good and recall the experience with the bully to understand why that is not good. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]on Behalf Of Pru Joy Sent: Monday, April 27, 2009 11:06 PM To: The Resolution of Mind list Subject: [TROM1] LRH's "failure"? Hi, I was just reading this & am not sure what Dennis is referring to here: "I understood why Ron had failed in 1960. His efforts were valiant. He was almost doomed to fail. The actual legs, the actual postulates of the true GPMs aren't in the reactive bank. They're in the analytical mind. If you search in the bank, you will do it all wrong. It is an analytical construct, so they're in the analytical mind. All that is in the bank is a mish-mash of wrong opposers. The lies. The truth is in the analytical mind. So the mistake Ron made on the subject of goals was to look into a mass of lies, in the bank, for the truth. That is why the search went on forever, and why he nearly killed himself in the 1960s." I had looked up the Scn definition of "postulate" & nowhere does it say that it is generated by the reactive bank. I read the Scn definition of "gpm" & can see that it says "...Where the pc's goal meets constant opposition, you have in the reactive mind the resultant mass caused by the two forces ..." So the postulate is generated by the analytical mind but if opposed a mass is created which is in the reactive bank. Sooooo ... this seems to make sense to me but no doubt I am missing a HEAP of greater detail as to just how Hubbard proposed to remedy the "gpm" & "failed" as Dennis points out. Am I asking too much for a brief explanation of this? PJ www.wspa.org.au <http://www.wspa.org.au>
