Hi Ant,
I would be very interested in the two early processes you mention that
Time-breaking is based on.
Dennis says he made his breakthrough when recalling one of Ron's great
discoveries: "*if you can get the preclear to do consciously that which
his mind does automatically, he will regain control of that function of
his psyche." and "So maybe the problem would crack if the person, on a
do-it-yourself basis, were to take things out of his past and bring them
into the present and put them back out into the past again, and bring
them into the present......to learn how to do consciously, what his
reactive mind does automatically, to start to take over the automaticity."
*This is the basis of "time-breaking" and currently there are quite a
few "techs" which have this principle as a basis. The Sedona method uses
this as a basis. Any feeling experienced is welcomed, looked at and
thereby as-issed.
I suppose ARC straight-wire could be described as similar but the
emphasis is on looking at the incident to obtain an as-isness whereas in
"time-breaking" the purpose is to reduce the aberration of "time".
In the most recent Ivy magazine (Ivy 108) in his reminiscences, Dennis
says that he, himself, was a black case. Did John also complain of this?
I have now carefully read his replies to you my dear Ant and wonder why
you did not refer him to someone on this list who doesn't find TROM
difficult to understand?. Why on earth did John have David Pelly and
yourself as advisers for TROM?
I and a number of others on this list do understand TROM.
We have re-examined beliefs we had in the gulag. We have paid our dues.
We see through the entertainment value of the various fixated beliefs
and created "hidden influences" held by Scientologists both in the
Free-Zone and the Church.
Nowhere in TROM or in Dennis' tapes will you find any suggested "tracks"
or histories that followers are required to accept as part of their
"bridge" -- As a matter of fact - TROM has no "bridge"
Martin
PS - to your PS: I concur with John's sentiments to you.

Incidentally, just to keep the record straight. I think time
breaking is a marvelous procedure and is based on two early
Scientology processes. The reason I never went further was that I
had trouble (you could call it frustration) with time breaking as I
was a so called "Black Case" - I referred John to this Archive
material, and a very full reference to it, with very interesting
associated material by, amongst others, Hacker, which is in the
Archives in a replay (I sent when I was running the list) where I
have added to the Replay number something about Black cases (in the
Subject:). I doubt if John Boice looked at it before his well worded
attempt to make me wrong :-)
Dennis either implied, or openly said that nothing other than TROM
was needed. It seems that some regard that as "holy truth" and
unquestionable, thus making their attitude to TROM a religion, based
on belief rather than results and observation. John Boice, in his
reaction to finding I was doing "another practice" and had left TROM
seemed me to reveal religious fanaticism.
All best wishes,
Ant
PS. If there is a competition about feeling guilty about John Boice,
I think the winner of the "should feel guilty" race would be Dennis
Stephens, for adamantly refusing to make TROM understandable by
non-Scientologists - just my humble opinion (blasphemous to you if
you are a "true believer").
