I suppose I had two thoughts in mind.

One is that some people with a lust for money and power are opportunistic, and will take advantage of complacency or weakness to pursue their aim at the expense of others. Mafia, Wall Street types, military dictators, fascist politicians religious cult leaders, etc. if not opposed by more enlightened people will gradually reshape the world in their own image.

The world made a lot of progress in the 20th century on issues like social equality because people demanded it. Today these are under attack because free market fundamentalism (which is a fiction created to serve greed) went unopposed for decades. Democracy is being weakened and replaced by oligarchies. Even science is under attack by corporations who see the truth as not in their best interest.

My other thought is that sometimes good people can spend much of their lives on personal growth, becoming wiser, more compassionate, less troubled people - but if they do not take an interest in the world, the world becomes deprived of the very people who could do the most good. The world needs people who are not playing the game of power and money, but nonetheless are willing to promote fairness, compassion, equality.

I understand fully why someone would not want to play the game of activism or politics or war, or other games of power. But what about win/win, pro-life games like cooperation and mutual aid? I suspect there are such games that would prevent many tragedies.

Hitler, I believe, came to power because people had undergone tough economic times and were desperate to feel some pride in themselves again and to have someone offer a solution. Sure, people "could" have said no to him, but I think it would have been more effective to have solved or prevented those economic problems in a pro-life way before people became so desperate. The crisis created an opportunity for Hitler's gang to grab power. But a good system should channel those ambitions into pro-life activities.

Hi Glen

Interesting argument. your point is that when evil gets going good men must stand up and fight it.

however isn't this just a justification to jump into another life or death struggle.

what if Hitler never rose to power because 99% of the German people just ignored him?

The right thing to do when someone offers you a role in their destructive game with an argument like "Your either for me or against me" is to ignore them and keep on TROMing.

keep on TROMing

*There's a point where focusing only on your own personal growth becomes self-indulgence, and abstaining from the world backfires.

This is so ultimately true.

So very true Pete. I read somewhere that our bodies are our
subconscious minds.

The body/mind is a dictator and it dictates that we must "do something".

It commands, "Do something!" and when we don't act it then makes us feel uncomfortable which is why withdrawing from the body/mind using Sedona,
hemisinc, EFT, Scientology, Dianetics etc are so highly regarded. And
they do help.

I too have worked on all of the above except Sedona. When you say Hemisync, I presume to understand that you have worked on meditation. Is this true?

I have mentioned the value of meditation several times here on TROM and with it, it's particular advantages in going towards spiritual enlightenment and escape from the hidden control of the mind. I would be interested in knowing how you found that practice to be.

But those attempted withdrawals from the mind just cause the mind to
pursue you and the only way to truly disengage, is to reduce its command
power over you using TROM.

I don't know of any other way.
