Hi everyone

TROM Ethics consists of the following 4 rules:

1) NEVER FORCE A PERSON TO KNOW A THING AGAINST THEIR CHOICE.
2) NEVER PREVENT A PERSON FROM KNOWING.
3) NEVER FORCE A PERSON TO MAKE A THING KNOWN.
4) NEVER PREVENT A PERSON FROM MAKING A THING KNOWN.

I have no problem with rule 1) and 3). But I do have some reservations with
rule 2) and 4).

2) NEVER PREVENT A PERSON FROM KNOWING.

Example: A child wants to touch a hot surface and there is some danger that
it could burn itself. Shouldn't it be prevented from doing so? Wouldn't
that be best for its survival?

4) NEVER PREVENT A PERSON FROM MAKING A THING KNOWN.

Example: Someone promotes the idea that members of a specific ethnic group
should be killed. Shouldn't he be prevented from doing so? Wouldn't that be
for the survival of that specific ethnic group?

Please let me know your opinions.
