You are so right!
Using a meter can easily get one into relying on the meter and then
needing the meter. I see no problem using the meter before a session
and at the end of a session and that is all. It is best to become
more acquainted with knowing how one reacts to things by his own
looking and then knowing rather than the interspersed and interjected
via of a meter. Using a meter can also hinder and perhaps even
eliminate one improving their perceptions upon looking and then
knowing what's what. It's a crutch and not necessary and should be
cast away as soon as possible as a tool and left as an interesting
curiosity.
