- BOM says it was 3 days.DAVEH: There is not contradiction of these two accounts. They independently happened on opposite sides of the world. The darkness in the Americas was 3 days, I would assume due to earthquake or volcanic activities.
Bible says Jesus was born in Bethlehem BOM says he was born in JerusalemDAVEH: I may have led you astray.........I've let everybody in TT think that I live in Portland. In reality, I live in West Linn, which is about 15 miles due south of Portland, and less than 10 miles from the city limits. Now the folks of the BofM who lived on the opposite side of the world were quite accustom to hearing about Jerusalem, but may not have been familiar with Bethlehem------which is how far on the outskirts of Jerusalem.....5 miles???
There's a couple The polygamy thingDAVEH: Many of the great Bible prophets were polygamists. Even so, I don't think you will find anything in the BofM that promotes polygamy, so the BofM should not be a problem for you in that respect.
and the immorality issue is big for me also. LauraDAVEH: I'm not sure what "the immorality issue" has to do with your perception of the BofM contradicting the Bible. That is a whole other issue which is not relevant to this discussion of whether the BofM is in "conflict with the Word of God contained in the Bible"
Do you have any other examples where you think the BofM disagrees with the Bible, Laura?
