The lives of these men hardly compare with Joseph Smith. If any of them had
died at the same age as Joseph Smith, none of them could be used to bolster
your case because none of them were polygamous prior to 38 years old (the
age Joseph Smith died).

Jacob was called a deceiver and a supplanter. This came back upon him when
he was deceived and culturally forced into polygamy when his father-in-law
insisted he marry the sister of the girl that he loved. Nevertheless, his
four wives hardly compare to the unknown 35 to 60 wives that Joseph Smith
had. Furthermore, unlike Jospeph Smith, he did not lie to his wives and to
others, he did not pretend to only have one wife, he did not marry women
already married to other men, etc.

God never told Abraham to marry another, but his wife Sarah gave Abraham his
second wife, perhaps in order to keep compliant with local governmental laws
which required such action from a barren wife. Contrast this with Smith's
wife objecting to Smith's many affairs, and bringing upon herself a false
prophecy from Smith that God would destroy her if she didn't accept him.
Instead, God destroyed Joseph Smith instead of Emma.

After this blunder, of Abraham taking another wife, God told Abraham to send
his second wife away, thereby ending his polygamy.

Moses probably only had one wife, but some people argue that he had two.

And despite all these gross differences, all these men were part of a
different covenant with God. Jesus said that those in the kingdom of God
are greater than all these men, and those in the Kingdom of God are
instructed that elders can only have one wife. Joseph Smith has failed the
Biblical standard of an elder having only one wife, and he has failed in tha
t he lied about it, claiming to others while he was alive that he had only
one wife.

Peace be with you.
