Dead argument from silence.
DAVEH:  Only silence of the Bible.  The Lord wasn't silent elsewhere.   Furthermore, Christians anciently practiced it and the Lord did not condemn their practice of it.  Is that not strong evidence that they considered baptism an essential part of salvation?
DAVEH:  FTR........The fact that Paul did not condemn the Corinthians for practicing baptism for the dead only lends credence to my belief that baptism is an important aspect of salvation.
