Glenn - As you know because of "umpteen" reasons, millions & millions of Christians cannot/donot accept added Mormon revelation.  Therefore it is true, that the Bible is silent on the subject of marriage ceremonies.  Mormons cannot add this doctrinal position without adding to the Bible.
DAVEH:  Logically, your assertion is flawed, Glenn.  That is ONLY true if the Lord's words are ONLY contained within the Bible.

This God is the same doctrine is also misused.  God's character is the same.  God, himself does not change.
DAVEH:  Then it is logical to assume he will continue to reveal his will to his prophets, and it would also be logical to assume that some of those revelations should end up as Canonized Scripture.
BUT you have a contradiction here.
YOU HAVE TOLD ME MORMONS HAVE CHANGED THEIR DOCTRINES THROUGH THE YEARS.  THE ONE THAT COMES TO MIND IS MORMON RULES AGAINST BLACKS AND POLYGAMY. Now, you tell me, God is the same forever so He doesn't change this rule Mormons have made up.
DAVEH:  While God doesn't change, the way he proscribes and executes the gospel throughout time does change.  If that were not so, you'd still be sacrificially slaughtering lambs, Glenn.

This is more pick and choose different rules at different times to support a false revelation.  This is more, pick and choose when you want the Bible to be figurative or literal.  This is more, pick and choose, when you want to use/misuse a context to support a false Mormon doctrine.
