Marlin, What would be the point of having a mirror and not looking into it? J It used to be that Amish women were forbidden to have designs patterned on their patchwork quilts. And they could not use patterned fabrics; only solids. So they made very plain quilts with straight lines and squares. But then they embellished them with elaborate quilting stitches, and developed quite a reputation for their fine quilting. A woman MUST have beauty in her life! I think it’s a God thing. Izzy
I have heard that the Amish, when house cleaning, will not clean mirrors because they do not want to see their image in them. Do you see a problem with using mirrors?
