Jesus and His disciples were Jews, still under the law at the time.  To break the law would be sin, yet Jesus never sinned.  The only explanation, therefore is that the Jewish leaders did not understand what keeping the sabbath entailed.  Jesus knew the law.  They did not. Terry   So how do you understand the apostles breaking the Sabbath teachings of the authorities when they plucked ears of corn to eat? Do you agree that they were not "obeying God rather than men"?
