Izzy says: Yes, in fact that was the toughest love.  Now he expects us to do the same, and crucify our own flesh. The problem is that you don’t see that because the woman was repentant, Jesus forgave her and said, “Go and SIN NO MORE.”  He loved repentant the sinner, but rebuked the sin. You want to embrace the sinner “right where they are”, and sympathize with their sin, thus putting your stamp of acceptance on their sin. This is called being an “enabler”.  What every sodomite wants is for straights to accept and love them right where they are, and accept them as normal. This only greases the skids to hell.
