Not usually-More like things that God may use to strengthen one-or things one uses to bind self or others-depending on the person.But a few thing go beyond just convictions The Lords Supper/Baptism...etc. Some things may not be absolute but are a must to clear the way- to become more than what one could otherwise accomplish.The deeper the cleansing-the brighter the shine.
