Judy: So can I take this to mean that you are totally DEAD to the flesh and you consistently walk after the Spirit of Life in Christ. Dean: God will not charge sin, He put all my sins away, past present future. Judy: If you are not doing them He will not charge them but he that sins is still the 'servant of sin' (John 8:34) Kevin: When He secured my salvation, IT WAS A DONE DEAL! "It is FINISHED" Judy: So is it your belief Kevin that you do not have to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?" (Phil 2:12,13) because it was all done for you andthis part of scripture is only for the rest of us? Kevin: John 19:30 Are you going to add to what He has already done? Judy: The above (4th chapter of Romans) refers to the 'faith of Abraham' and it was this man's 'faith' that counted in his life for righteousness. Kevin: Are you claiming you will perfect yourself? Judy: No..... Kevin: The New man is created not put through a process. Judy: Then why are we instructed to work out our own salvation and why all of this putting off and putting on? Must be an imperfect creation. Also why does the apostle Peter write "If the righteous SCARCELY be saved...." Kevin: Are you trying to put on your own righteousness? Judy: No..... Kevin: I am not missing anything maybe you are. Christ is my ALL in ALL I put off the sins of the Flesh BY the WORK of Jesus! Judy: This is interesting - how does one do this? Kevin: Are you trying to take His job? Judy: No... I am trying to serve Him and enter by the narrow gate that leads to life. The one that only a few are going to find. Judy: All well and good if you are walking in it and have overcome the world, the flesh, and the demonic but if you sin daily or are bound by any particular besetting sin then you also are a work in progress which means you are not totally delivered either. Kevin: And by the way it was a point in time not a period of time! Jesus set me free Dec 10 1972, & now I am FREE INDEED! Judy: Oh!
