I can see that you have a basis for your thinking, but all things considered, I think I will trust what I know to be God's Holy word over what someone who may or may not be a prophet is revealing. There have been times when the Spirit has revealed things to me personally, (Usually He urges me to witness my faith to some particular individual) but if I was led only by the Spirit, and not by daily time in the Word, I would be far more ignorant of God's will than I am. Therefore, I will take all of both Word from the word and words from the Spirit that I can comprehend.
