DAVEH:  My latest comments are in RED.....

DAVEH:  I discovered that long ago.  I'm not here to overcome evil, but as you know, I'm considered to be evil due to my beliefs, religion and resistance to be easily persuaded to change my religious affiliation and beliefs.

Judy: Sadly the majority of professing believers don't seem to know how to separate the person from sin and so are unable to love ppl as God loves them (and loved us all while we were yet sinners).  I would say that the system you put your trust in is evil

DAVEH:  I understand why you think such, Judy.  Your feelings regarding LDS theology are pretty much the norm in TT.  However, you must understand that I have a totally contrasting view of it.  Not only do I believe in my heart that LDS theology is true, but to me it answers a lot of questions Protestants would prefer to ignore.  (Viz., my parallel question about why the Lord created Lucifer.)  That is why I want to communicate with TTers.....to find out why they don't ask the questions I would ask if I were in their shoes.
DaveH and only you can evaluate your personal life before God.

DAVEH: I don't want to reveal too much about myself (weaknesses) here, but if somebody wants to change my thinking, they'll have a lot better chance of it by being rational and respectful in the exchanges they have with me than if they get in my face and act like arrogant whackos.

Judy: I hear you DAVEH and I wouldn't either in this kind of a combative atmosphere.

DAVEH:  This is another aspect of TT/Protestantism that fascinates me, Judy.  Why do some expect me to embrace their philosophy when they present such an ugly view of it?  If suggesting I'm a liar and am dishonest and that which I believe is satanic, and then they wave some of the most holy aspects of my religion in my face......if all that is meant to make me think those folks love me and want me to join them in something better........well, golly gee whiz......just what is it that they think I will see that is better in their efforts to convert me?!?!?!?!  Like Blaine said.....IF he were convinced to change, it wouldn't be to join those who besmirch the Lord's name.  Now don't get me wrong......If those tactics appeal to those who make fools of themselves.....let their behavioral fruits proclaim their religious proclivities to the world.  I just think it is unfortunate that at the same time as they lower themselves into the mire, through a common Christian association they drag the image of other Christians in the pit with them.  I would think that would cause many a Christian to wince with a bit of Christian sorrow for what is being done to their image in the Lord's name.
