Blaine: Not so, Perry. In fact if you
read the BoM passages using that term, it
refers to people who are not Jews. It even says that the BoM would
be brought forth by way of the Gentiles, so that makes Joseph Smith and
associates Gentiles, does it not?
Of course, considering Mormons believe they
are of the House of Israel the term Gentile is sometimes used loosely to refer
to others not of the House of Israel--but that would not apply to Jews, since
they are considered by Mormons to be Israelites. It says in the cover page
of the Book of Mormon that the book is written to both Jew and Gentile--again making the distinction between those
who are Jews, and those who are not--plain and simple.
