You said "I admit to being a sinner in need of salvation." Aren't the who are in need of salvation loast? Isn't it those who have been saved that are no longer lost?

My question is whether people are actually saved before they enter heaven. There have been many TTers who have suggested such, but I don't think that is the message the Bible conveys. Instead, as I mentioned to Terry in a parallel post today, the message of the Bible is that those who endure to the end SHALL be saved. (Mt 24:13) Until we reach the end (heaven), we have the promise of salvation for those who walk that path.
And let me further add (as I have mentioned before), there are two aspects of salvation.....one of physical salvation---the resurrection, and the other is a spiritual salvation---overcoming the separation from God. By virtue of Jesus' resurrection, we are all saved from the chasm of hell as in physical death. So yes, in that sense we are now saved from the threat of being physically dead forever. However, I think when most folks refer to salvation, they are speaking of spiritual salvation of being saved from our sins. That will happen for those who endure to the end.
