The virgin birth involved conception by the power of the Holy
Spirit. It was necessary to show that Jesus is the Son of God. The virgin
birth had nothing to do with Jesus' human nature; conception by the Holy
Spirit was necessary for Him to have His Godly nature in His completely
human body. If He had two human parents, He, like both of His parents,
would have had only a human nature.vincent j. fulton On Thu, 4 Mar 2004 12:14:20 -0800 (PST) Kevin Deegan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: DAVIDM I believe that Jesus was holy. Why is it so hard for you to believe that Jesus could be related to Adam like the rest of us and yet be holy? This in no way detracts from the fact that he was the son of God. Scripture teaches us there was a difference. Then what was the point of the Virgin Birth? Why not just come through the union of Mary & Joseph? ---------- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man."
