The Bible is right on when it says students become like their teacher. Jesus used the language of the common people during his earthly ministry and His is the image I want to be conformed to.   Judy, how about this: from now on I'll speak to you in Aramaic. The more like my Teacher the better, right? That way I won't confuse you with big words, while trying to teach you about my Teacher.   jt: No thanks Billt - I don't want to look like Polanyi, Torrance, Mounce, Robertson et al. and anyway under the New Covenant I have His law in my heart and His promise is that "No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother saying "know the Lord" for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them" says the Lord.  (Jer 31:34)   Thanks anyway.  jt
