I think faith is important, Judy. I just do not happened to think mine is what saves me. I'm content to let Jesus be my Savior --  that gives me something to trust in, someone to trust upon, an object of my faith other than myself. That's the whole story of Hebrews 11. These heroes all trusted upon the Lord -- there was an object of faith other than themselves.   I am not fearful, Judy. I have told you that before. I don't have time right now to find scriptural proof right now because I've got to go somewhere this morning.   All the scriptures you posted should read "faith" - What does Hebrews 11 mean if faith is not important?  The people named would be no different than anyone else; that chaper is included as an example for those of us who have come later.  Faith and fear are opposite and to walk in fear is to walk in sin.  Until we deal with the fear in our lives we will not ever be victorious Christians.  Jesus did His part, he provides the victory but it will not benefit us or others if we will not walk in it.  Yes it's His faith.  I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.   judyt
