I see conscience as something internal from God, a candle of God that
burns within us. Conscience is very easy to ignore, but when we ignore
it, we defile and ruin ourselves. If we bruise our conscience enough,
we will become very dark within and unable to apprehend anything of God.

Those who argue for same sex marriage are not being motivated by
conscience. They are seeking to burn the conscience of others in
society through a rational argument. Those who embrace same sex
marriage have marred their own conscience, as the Scriptures say:

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron (1 Timothy 4:2 KJV)

With regards to homosexuality and this same sex marriage thing, Romans 1
aptly describes the process of spiritual degeneration that happens to a
person to cause them to become a homosexual and destitute of the things
of God.

Peace be with you.
