I don't plan to butt in on your conversation, but must just add a personal note re: whether we are endowed with a conscience by our Creator. I remember being around 6 years old and spying a beautiful glass marble on a neighbor's back porch. I coveted it. I took it (secretly). But once I carried it home, I could no longer enjoy it. I felt GUILTY. (I had never been told not to steal--it was not a concept that had ever before crossed my mind.) My only relief came from sneaking back to the neighbor's porch and throwing the marble back where it came from, and running back home. I never stole another thing in my life.
