Perhaps some realize that being a Christian can be a tough life to live. Recently DavidM posted some moving stories regarding Christians in China who have suffered for their faith in the Lord. Do you suppose there may have been some who took a less demanding course? And then there is the possibility that some Christians may be distracted by Satan's persuasions..... DAVEH: I've suggested a couple reasons above. I suspect there are others.A follower follows. A devoted servant does not abandon his master. It is completely logical to stick with the one who created you and has the power to save you or destroy you. Anything other than that is foolish. Are there fools in this world? A quick look around will answer that question real quick. Why are they foolish? DAVEH: OK.....I think I've figured it out, Terry. The name Jesus (or Yeshua or Joshua) means Jehovah saves.....or....Jehovah is salvation. So, it is not too unusual to think Jesus might symbolically announce himself in this manner. Whether or not those in the household were all subsequently saved is another matter that I don't believe is assured by his comment.Depends on who you ask. All I know is as of right now, I plan on enduring to the end.Having said that, when Jesus talked to Zaccheus, if I remember correctly, He said, "This day", salvation has come to your house. Nothing about enduring to the end. Let me know when you figure that out.
