John, we do have the freedom to thinking wrongly.  However wrong thinking (beliefs) leads to sin, which is why we don’t want to do it.  (For example, overbearing, arrogant, egotistical, self-righteous belittling of others.) I believe we are judged by the Lord, not for what we think, but for what we do/don’t do.  That all springs from our thoughts/beliefs. Izzy

Sad but true  -- and why is it that we think that  God can forgive moral  impurities but plants us squarely in the midst of the pond of hell for thinking wrong?   When our real Lord presented the summation of all of the law and prophets, He opened the door to free thought among other things.   And there is no such thing as freedom if we do not have the option of being wrong, thinking poorly.  What is frightening is when those who are legalistic and exclusive become evangelistic.   Crusades are made of such.
