"Any coordination between the Bush campaign and church leaders would clearly be illegal," said a statement from the activist group Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
This line is trash. Plain and simple. This "separation of church and state" has been used by every atheist loser politician since the creation of public education (an atheist's contribution to our society way back when.) And now it is being used to suggest that aggressively seeking a particular Christian vote is criminal. Ridiculous.
Whether or not it is advisable is one thing. That it is criminal is a violation of constitutional law -- you know -- the law that says that congress shall make no law that restricts religion.
