I wonder what impact a passage has on this discussion that reads, "God hates divorce."  I have never actually thought about it before.   I am listening, ya'll.

You ask a far too complicated question for a country boy to fully answer John, even though I once did a detailed study on the subject.  My findings did not agree with the teachings of my pastor at the time, and I was advised not to teach such stuff to my cell group, since some of them were divorced.  Being the dogmatic, narrow minded fundamentalist that I am, I left that church rather than water down my findings.  If you or the group are interested, we might be able to discuss the subject over a period of time.  For right now, let me say that one does not always sin, even though they are doing something God hates.  (Let me take cover now, lest I be stoned.)
