The 50-48 roll call by which the Senate blocked a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. Supporters of the amendment fell 12 votes short of the 60 they needed to advance the bill. Please note who were the abstaining voters.

So, in my opinion, your vote (if you are one who votes) can be properly placed this coming November. Did Kerry and Edwards refuse to vote for political reasons or were they just too busy campaigning? How long do you think it will be before the Supreme Court of the US demands all states to recognize the gay marriages from permissive states? How long thereafter will the protective hand of God be fully removed from the USA? How much longer will it take before the pogroms begin -- against the "non-tolerant Christians and Jews?"
